hm, someone tried to flood the website with bot accounts, smh. sucks for them tho, my dumbass couldn’t (still can’t) get the emails working days prior, so all the accounts got stuck in limbo lmaooo. i went thru and salvaged all the normal-people accounts that were made at the same time and i got it all fixed, there’s now a captcha/higher security to account creation. this is why we can’t have nice things.

ISSUE 3 is coming along. Otis finished the bare bones of the script, made half the panel layouts, and modeled all the major scenes. i’ve started solidifying the character designs for upcoming reveals >:^)
i’ve also gotten a little sidetracked with the logo for Boone & Mattock Comics. the logo that exists at the moment is clever, the & symbol has an actual mattock above the word “Mattock”, and i’m quite happy with design. however, i really want to have a more visual logo, if that makes sense? to anyone who’s known me for some time, y’all will be well aware of my affinity for traditional jesters and clowns. although jesters have nothing to do with “Boone” or “Mattock”, i’ve got this urge to change the logo to a jester. the design isn’t as intuitive as the current logo, and i can’t get the sizing right, so this has been a real pain in my ass. cuz of ‘the thing’, i’m finding myself unable to stop the urge to try and make it work, only quelled by my lack of success in this task. i’m gonna put my head thru a wall oml.

small rant; fuck paying for typefaces. i understand if it’s a heavily stylized font or somethin’ but i’m not paying 60 dollars for your fucking helvetica but with serifs ripoff that doesn’t even have diacritic integrations, fuck that. OR people will straight up try to charge you for typefaces made in the damn 60’s that are public domain. fuckin’ aye.
i added some characters to the encyclopedia, but they still are missing a lot of info, sorry for that. i have a unnerving feeling that i might overwhelm the website’s storage with too many large files, mostly from audio files and images. i’m not too good at file compression, it’s against my personal tastes.
ugh, i still don’t have a song in mind for the next iSSUE either. oh well, we carry on :^P
