L: it’s real exciting to FINALLY have a physical copy version ready to distribute n all that! JSRX was always illustrated in a printed-media format, unlike most webcomics who default to a scroll-focused layout. yeah, it DOES make it a little weird to read sometimes, and idk what we are gonna do once we gotta translate a full-spread page to infinte-scroll, but im still real excited bout it! I got my copy (the test copy) in the mail and it looks awesome!! i think we were both worried about the colors being off or the printing getting skewed, but it turned out real nice!!!
O: It is all very exciting. The only downside is we won’t be able to sign any copies ourselves…
L: that part does kinda suck. i don’t think either of us are all too responsible enough to handle orders on our own tho, especially since it wont be a ‘limited time’ thing. that listing is gonna stay up for like, forever.
O: That is true. I suppose that’s the price we have to pay for convenience, isn’t it. Although having it set up this way does mean the overall cost on the reader’s end will be much lower than if we were to handle everything ourselves, which is nice. That didn’t turn out to well with the limited edition release of the JSRX Beta book copies if I remember correctly.
L: oh god don’t remind me. we weren’t just selling em with no real monetary gain, we were selling em at a loss. a big loss. tbf we aren’t really making much money off the new version either, but thats not the point. i mean if we were in it for the money, we wouldn’t be writing a jet set radio fanfiction. that just doesn’t seem like a reasonable investment for anyone if they just wanted bank outta it.
L: for real dude, im not in it for the money. im in it for the love of the game, yknow?
O: …I would hope so man. If not, we would have to have a serious talk about your creative ventures.
L: yeah yeah, and your investment in my ‘ventures’, lol.
While sadly signings/personalizations to any and all orders from us to all of you are not available due to the use of a third-party service, we still want to again thank all of you for your continued interest and (non-monetary) support of our comic. It means a lot to all of us, and we hope to continue this fancomic for all of y’all in the future!
